Barbara has been a presenter at OCRA conventions and before various legal groups.  In addition, she attends numerous continuing education seminars locally, regionally, and nationally throughout the year. 

Summary of Experience
Barbara was one of the first reporters in Ohio to adopt computerized reporting in 1978.  She was the first reporter in Columbus to use realtime technology in producing daily copy and the first reporter in Columbus to offer realtime transcription at depositions on a regular basis. 

During her 33 years of reporting experience, Barbara has had extensive experience in providing realtime reporting in deposition, arbitration, and courtroom settings.  She has vast experience in medical and technical depositions and conferences; and has the knowledge to provide the reporting and technical troubleshooting for courtroom realtime and/or daily copy. 

Barbara’s assignments have taken her to some interesting places.  She has taken testimony at the side of a road in southern Ohio regarding an accident at a dangerous curve.  Her steno machine has been set up among cooling towers at a coal-fired power plant in West Virginia, in an airplane hangar, and even a mile underground in a coal mine while she was suited up like a coal miner.
