REALLEGAL E-TRANSCRIPT
E-Transcript is an electronic means of delivering a
transcript, via disk or e-mail. You can receive your E-Transcript
by e-mail – in other words, totally paperless – or receive the
E-Transcript in addition to the hard copy.
- The E-Transcript requires no special software. The viewer
software is included at no additional charge.
- You can scroll through the transcript and/or word index. The
transcript is hyperlinked to the word index, allowing you to easily
locate key words.
- The print feature enables you to print the transcript, word index
and the condensed transcript in various formats.
- You can copy and paste text from the viewer into your pleadings,
briefs, or motions.
- Files retain the certified page and line format.
- Files are encrypted, password and virus protected for safe and
secure delivery on the Internet.
- You can attach the E-Transcript file to an e-mail message and send
it to your client or expert witness. Double clicking opens the
file – it’s that easy!
- If you are using RealLegal Binder, you can load your E-Transcripts
directly into the program.

QUESTIONS
Why can’t I receive
an E-Transcript through my firewall?
Your firewall
recognizes the .exe extension as a potential virus, worm, or
Trojan horse, and automatically strips out the attachment.
However, we can
zip the file, thus sending the E-Transcript as an attachment with a .zip
extension. You will then need to unzip the file by using either WinZip or PKZIP. If you need to install
either one of those free programs, go to
www.winzip.com or www.pkware.com.
Is there another way
to receive an E-Transcript without zipping and unzipping?
Yes. If you go
to RealLegal’s website and download their E-Transcript viewer, we can then
send you an E-Transcript formatted as a .ptx file, which will easily pass
through your firewall. The link to this download is :
